Greetings to our friends.
Please pray for me this week. I’m out of town spending a week training young people to share their faith. How to do so in a way that is peaceable, gentle, with the fruit of good works, being sincere (real) (James 3;17) But most of all to simply do it (Mark 16:15).
I really think that the modern idea of a secular nation is a total myth. At best, it’s a naive attempt to be peaceable while trying to shut out the real Prince of Peace. In the meantime, every other ideology will try and become the dominant force.
Over many years of sitting with people and asking them about their beliefs, I have never met anyone who I have understood to be a true atheist. More commonly, I have run into this kind of characterisation – “I’m an atheist, and I’m so angry with God!”
You and I are uniquely gifted to sow seeds of faith in the world around us. Let’s use every means and every opportunity to share Jesus with our world. One of our short term volunteers committed her life to Jesus this week. Before she left she prayed out a beautiful prayer asking God to lead her life.
Do you have a story of befriending someone, praying for someone, sowing a seed of faith? We’d love to hear it!
